Julien Coulon
First Prize in classical guitar, Julien also has jazz training (bass and double bass) and a master's degree in musicology (Paris 8).
His musical horizons extend from classical music to jazz, from French song to rock, from oriental music to Celtic music. He gradually explored the world of plucked strings and became passionate about ancient and eastern instruments.
He regularly performs in concert both solo and in different ensembles in France and abroad. He has produced and participated in several albums as a musician, performer and arranger, and has also composed stage music. Alongside his activities as a musician, Julien teaches guitar, bass, oud and mandolin in two MJCs in the Paris region (Saint-Cloud and Bourg-la-Reine), and regularly presents his instruments at the Musée de la Cité de la Musique in Paris.
